The new board members are entrepreneur and M-SParc Angel Bobby Williams; Bangor University governor and senior executive at Lloyds Banking Group Julie Perkins; and technologist, founder and innovator Richard Scott.
As a local entrepreneur, I built my business on Anglesey at a time when there was nothing like M-SParc to support start-ups. I know first-hand the challenges of growing a tech company in this region, which is why I’m passionate about giving back. M-SParc has transformed the landscape for innovation and enterprise on Anglesey, and I’m excited to help drive its mission; supporting the next generation of businesses and ambitious entrepreneurs across the island.

I look forward to bringing my industry experience and insights from the University Council to support M-SParc’s growth and help maximise Bangor University’s economic impact. I feel very privileged to be joining such a positive, energetic and experienced team.

Tom used to work at the KFC in his hometown of Colwyn Bay before it mysteriously burned down. He then spent several years “on the lam” in East Germany, where he worked as an animator in Berlin. When the wall fell, Tom came home.
He enjoys climbing and hates ice-skating.
