Business Support is what makes M-SParc different

M-SParc won’t leave any of our tenants to ‘go it alone’. Support involves nurturing and supporting businesses, helping to make connections and to create a community, ensuring tenant companies are part of an eco-system to guide them on their journey.

We’ve built up a community of support that can assist you, including in-house R&D Tax specialists, HR Advice, and Commercial Lawyers. As we’re wholly owned by Bangor University we can link you directly to Bangor University’s research expertise. If you’re looking to employ, we can help link you to graduates with the right skills. We also offer enterprise support to University students, and ensure our tenants benefit from this.

All tenants will benefit from this service, as well as those on the Virtual Tenant +. Our business support officer, Lois, works with tenants to create a bespoke package tailored to their needs.

Lois is passionate about the companies we work with. Regular update meetings will ensure the support offered is relevant and that progress is tracked.

Our aim is to help you succeed and grow

We see business support as a key part of this.

Business support providers from the region will be visiting M-SParc regularly to provide their services, and meetings can be arranged on site so that companies do not waste time traveling to these meetings.

Our Business Information Pack is presented to all our tenants, to inform them of what support they can access. The pack is regularly updated with information and Lois is always at hand to talk tenants through each aspect of what’s on offer.

Are you thinking of becoming a tenant?

Soft Landing
An example of how it is done

Micron Agritech, an Irish Company, were successful in securing Agri Hack funding. This allowed them to a move a new base into Wales, and M-SParc was able to support them by providing:

  • Links to Bangor University to support their research, including A.I and Parasite research specialists.
  • Collaboration opportunities with M-SParc tenants, providing them with the opportunity to expand their network and work closer with Welsh businesses.
  • Links to local farms, including Bangor University, Glynllifon, and Llysfasi, where they could make use of livestock samples.
  • Support with recruitment, such as presenting at the M-SParc employability event, advertising their roles on the M-SParc website, introduction to local recruitment agencies, and outreach to Bangor University graduates.
  • Micron Agritech also joined the M-SParc Agri Cluster, providing them with greater visibility in the sector and further opportunities for collaboration.
  • A supported lab space, and assistance to register their business in the UK.
  • We introduced Micron to industry partners who have a demand for their products and will help them scale in the UK Market.
