About this event

Do you have digital skills and are looking for your next career? Or are you an employer in the sector looking for your newest team member!?

If that sounds like you, then M-SParc and the Regional Skills Partnership (RSP) are hosting the perfect event for you, taking place in M-SParc.

On June 7th, M-SParc and the RSP will bring employers together with students and young people looking for work!

The intention? Those who have the skills and ambitions will come face-to-face with the very employers looking to hire them, employers in the digital sector across north Wales. The perfect opportunity to get to know each other, ask any questions, and impress each other!

The Careers Expo will focus on all of the fantastic opportunities in the region for people to work in digital or design. The Expo is open to students and young people across the region. A bus is arranged for Bangor University stuents to get too and from the expo!

S2 recruitment will also be in attendance, able to offer a range of careers in the digital sector with local companies and there’s no need to book a slot with them.

The full agenda for the event is as follows:
  • 12:30 –Employers! Are you seeking digital skills and wish to have your voice heard? Would you like to shape government skills policy? Do you want to learn from businesses who are successful in their skills development and recruitment? Join us from 12:30
  • 14:00 – Careers Expo Welcome and Guest Speaker – A quick introduction and exciting talk
  • 14:15 – Stories from M-SParc Skills Academy members – Hear from others who were in your position a few months ago, about how they found work and what they’ve learned
  • 14:30 – “Elevator Pitches” – Those who are feeling brave can give a quick introduction to either their company and the types of roles they are looking for, or their skills and the type of career they want.
  • 15:00 – Speed Networking –The real chance to pitch yourself, network, and find our future employee/employer!
  • 16:00 – BBQ, Networking and Skills Academy Graduation – A more relaxed chance to network, get to know each other over a buger, and watch our skills academy members ‘graduate’!

Tom Burke

Digital Innovation Manager


Tom used to work at the KFC in his hometown of Colwyn Bay before it mysteriously burned down. He then spent several years “on the lam” in East Germany, where he worked as an animator in Berlin. When the wall fell, Tom came home.

He enjoys climbing and hates ice-skating.
