The Egni Food Festival is a celebration of Welsh food, drink, local businesses and sustainability, with something for everyone to enjoy. Spend the day exploring stalls from local producers, discovering new flavours, meeting the people behind the products and enjoying a programme of activities and entertainment throughout the day.
Discover a fantastic selection of Welsh food and drink from local producers and businesses. From artisan products and sweet treats to delicious street food, there’ll be plenty to browse, taste and take home. It’s also a great opportunity to meet the makers, hear their stories and find out more about the journey from producer to plate.
Hear from businesses, organisations and industry experts about food, sustainability and the future of the Welsh food and drink industry. From local producers and Geographical Indication products to sustainable practices and business support, there will be plenty of ideas and insights to take away.
Get hands-on with science through fun, food-inspired STEM activities! Children can make ice cream using science, experiment with different flavours and ingredients, and see how science can be used to create something delicious!
Put your knowledge to the test with a range of interactive activities throughout the festival. Calculate your carbon footprint, take part in fun recycling challenges and discover how the food we eat can impact the environment. There’ll be plenty of opportunities to get involved and learn something new.
There’ll be plenty to keep you entertained throughout the day, with live music, food demonstrations and activities for the whole family. Watch our food demonstration from Y Marram and see how local ingredients can be transformed into delicious dishes, enjoy live performances from our singer, and celebrate the fantastic businesses taking part at the Egni Awards. With plenty to see, taste and enjoy, there’s something for everyone throughout the day.

Over the past two years, the festival has welcomed a wide range of food and drink producers from across North Wales and beyond, creating a vibrant day for visitors to discover, taste, and connect.
Our festival brings together artisan producers, food vendors, local growers, and innovative food businesses, all showcasing the quality and diversity of Welsh food and drink. Visitors have the chance to meet the makers, try new flavours, and learn more about how food is produced sustainably.
Alongside the food stalls, the festival includes activities and conversations around sustainability and the future of food.

Tom used to work at the KFC in his hometown of Colwyn Bay before it mysteriously burned down. He then spent several years “on the lam” in East Germany, where he worked as an animator in Berlin. When the wall fell, Tom came home.
He enjoys climbing and hates ice-skating.
