The launch event, held at M-SParc on 4 June, brought together representatives from the Intellectual Property Office (IPO), the UK PatLib Network, academia, business support organisations and innovators from across Wales to discuss the role of Intellectual Property in driving innovation, growth and commercial success.
The programme featured contributions from Pierre Oliviere, Interim Deputy Director, Business Innovation and Investment at the IPO, Sue Lawson, Chair of the UK PatLib Network, and Emma Richards, Regional Policy Advisor at the IPO. The event also featured a panel discussion exploring how innovators, creators and start-ups can access the support, skills and networks needed to turn ideas into commercial success.
The North Wales PatLib will act as a regional gateway into the wider UK PatLib network, providing practical guidance, signposting and support to organisations looking to better understand and protect their Intellectual Property.
